A school that fails to protect children fails its biggest responsibility.
Nova Pioneer Boksburg!!!!!!!! Where is the accountability??? Bullying should never be tolerated, especially behaviour that humiliates and degrades a child. The lack of urgency and support from the school is deeply disturbing!!!! Parents trust schools with their children’s wellbeing, and this situation needs immediate attention.

A school that fails to protect children fails its biggest responsibility.
Nova Pioneer Boksburg!!!!!!!! Where is the accountability??? Bullying should never be tolerated, especially behaviour that humiliates and degrades a child. The lack of urgency and support from the school is deeply disturbing!!!! Parents trust schools with their children’s wellbeing, and this situation needs immediate attention.

their communication sucks
debit order went off on the wrong dates been trying to have this resolved, and I am still waiting on feedback from the school for over 3 months, worst part is you call the number for their finance department rings non stop and no one answer

Nova Pioneer Admissions: Conflicting Requirements After Requesting Payment & Visa Application
I am lodging this complaint regarding Nova Pioneer’s admissions process, which has been inconsistent and misleading. We app**** for admission for our child, Patrick, and were informed that foreign national children require a study visa in order to be enrolled. We were explicitly advised that after payment of the enrolment/application fee, we would receive an acceptance letter, which would then be used to apply for the study visa through VFS/Home Affairs. Given that Home Affairs processing timelines are unpredictable, we reasonably requested written clarification on whether our child would be allowed to attend school after payment and during the visa application process, as advised by the school. Instead of responding to this request for clarity, we received a sudden rejection stating that Patrick’s assessment results did not meet admissions requirements — an issue that had never previously been raised, despite ongoing communication focused solely on visa compliance and administrative requirements. At no point prior to our request for clarification were we informed that Patrick had failed the assessment or that this would prevent admission. The timing and shift in reasoning raise serious concerns about transparency and fairness in the admissions process, especially after we were guided toward payment and visa application steps. We believe parents deserve clear, honest, and consistent communication — particularly when immigration compliance and school placement are involved. We are requesting: Clear written clarification of the true basis for the rejection Confirmation of whether the assessment outcome was known prior to advising us to proceed with payment and visa arrangements A review of the admissions communication process to prevent other families from experiencing the same issue We hope Nova Pioneer will address this matter constructively and transparently.

Unfair Bursary application
I am lodging a formal complaint against Nova Pioneer regarding the handling of my bursary application and the conduct of administrative staff. I was informed that the bursary decision would be made by a committee or individual based in Kenya, with feedback expected on Friday. However, after three days of attempting to obtain feedback from a staff member (Karabo) with no response, I followed up telephonically and contacted other departments. During one call, I was informed that because I had contacted different departments, Karabo had been instructed to decline my bursary application. This raised serious concerns about procedural fairness, as the decision appeared to be linked to my follow-ups rather than the merits of my application. I later spoke to Lerato Modise, who was unprofessional and disrespectful during the call, referring to me as “this one” while I was on the phone. Shortly thereafter, I received confirmation that my bursary application had been declined. I am seeking clarity on whether the originally communicated decision-maker in Kenya provided the verdict and whether proper bursary procedures were followed. I respectfully request an investigation into the fairness of the bursary process and the conduct of the staff involved. I am able to provide supporting documentation if required.

Unfair Bursary application

NOVA PIONEER MIDRAND- DESCIMINATIVE ADMISSION POLICY
I am extremely disappointed by the admissions team, firstly my son is in grade 00 he went for assessments and we were told we would receive feedback by Tuesday 2nd December but I didn't so I decided to call and I was told he was rejected. I have a daughter in Nova Pioneer who started in grade R she could not even speak English and even say a mere Teacher may I please go to the toilet yet she was accepted for grade R because Nova Pionneer Midrand was still hunting for kids. Now that business is blooming they rejected my son who goes to one of the good Pre-schools in Midrand who is very fluent and expressive. His fate was already decided upon without being given a chance yet my daughter who could not even say a 4 word sentence was accepted because the school was still hungry for students. Imagine if she had been rejected how would you have known that she is even capable of receiving awards from the school because she is doing very well? I even had a call with the principal to explain to him but that yielded nothing as a child going to grade R was rejected and not even given a chance. He was discriminated against as perhaps the school takes ready made kids so that it can look like the school only has smart kids. Not forgetting that they asked for the recent report, what was that for because clearly your assessments are not based on what the child is currently learning at their schools. I even had a long chat with the principal of his current school and she mentioned that my son is the best in his class but because business is now booming at Nova he is being discriminated against. As a single mother in this economy am I expected to be driving around to two different schools whereas in one school I would even be given a sibling discount. How diabolical of the school to reject a child going to grader R!

Not what it promised to be
Nova pioneer Ormonde - If you want to see your child's self esteem plummet, then this is the perfect school to send them. There is a particular teacher in grade one who isolates certain children and treats them horribly. This is ********** as this is the time children need the most support in transitioning into the school environment. Their financial department is a joke. They've continued to invoice even though they have deducted from our accounts. Expect to get very little communication. The teachers can't all be bad but this 1 specific teacher is and all these other seemingly smaller things that compound to an overall horrible experience.

Here's a review based on your experience: *Disappointing Experience at Nova Pioneer Midrand* I'm writing to express my disappointment and frustration with Nova Pioneer Midrand, a school that promised excellence but has failed to deliver. As a parent, I'm appalled by the lack of efficiency in their system. Despite paying substantial fees, we've experienced delays in homework being sent out and an unacceptable two-week delay in homework being checked. Communication is a major issue - it's confusing and makes life difficult for parents. The recent decision to stop printing worksheets and expecting Grade R students to write down homework is unreasonable, especially when given only 5 minutes to complete it. My child consistently comes home with incomplete homework due to this rushed approach. What's ironic is that when it comes to fundraising or promoting the school, communication is crystal clear. It's disheartening to see such disparity. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise against sending your children to Nova Pioneer Midrand. The school's performance falls short of expectations, and it's worse than some government schools. *Rating:* 1/5 stars *Advice:* Parents, be cautious and do your research before investing in this school.
