Nouwens Carpets - Poor quality and poor customer service

We had four bedrooms recarpetted by Anza Flooring in Langebaan in December 2018 at at high cost. We chose Nouwens Rustique carpets as we had used it twice before and had been very happy with the product. After a short period of time all the carpets showed excessive pilling. We complained at length to the installers, Anza, and Nouwens. Eventually Mr Jason Page from Nouwens came to look at the carpets along with one of their 'experts' Ms Barbara Ryan. Their opinion was the carpets had pilled because we had vacuumed them incorrectly. Their suggestion was that we get down on our knees and scrub the carpets with our vacuum cleaner. We are both in our 70s and have never needed to clean carpets in this manner. We obtained an independent review of the carpets and in the reviewer's. opinion the pilling was excessive due to the Sub Standard quality of this batch of Nouwens carpets. Neither Nouwens nor the installers, Anza Flooring, are accepting any responsibility for this problem, despite the carpets having a five year guarantee. The carpets look old and dirty due to this pilling. Nouwens have recently amalgamated with Van Dyk Carpets.
