Light Steel Frame House

We signed a contract with Ben Nortje to build a Light steel frame house for us in August 2014 we had to pay a 70 % deposit up front in order for him to buy all the material. It was suppose to be a 8 week project. He said everything would be on site from Day 1 which was not the case. He always had issues why material wasn't on site and he tried to buy the cheapest products in order to save him money. We also had to pay him another 15 % but we told the Silverline group we do not trust him and would rather do the payments ourselves but they assured us he would finish our house with that. It is now 7 months later and we have to finish our house ourselves at our own cost. Ben's franchise was taken away from him because he was unable to complete the project and he owes money to all his contractors and the main group as well. Please be careful when dealing with him he seems capable but he doesn't know what he is doing. He has a lot of excuses it is never he's fault when things go wrong. He made off with a lot of our money.
