Excellent sales team, impeccable integrity

<p>This week I visited the showroom to test drive a vehicle, needing something light and economic to run to commute to a new job. I was very impressed by the warm and competent manner of Francois Fourie, the top Nissan used car salesman for the last 5 years running. He immediately made my wife and I feel comfortable, and it was like we were visiting an uncle. He gave us all the information and assurances aboute the vehicle, but no pressure or "hard-sell" impression. Liking the vehicle as well as the way it had been presented to us, after the test drive we decided to put down a deposit on the vehicle.</p> <p>Francois agreed to hold it for us till my finances cleared at the bank... so far so good. A normal story involving top service.</p> <p>Then the unusual part, reflecting the extremely high standards of integrity and professionalism of Northwest Nissan... the next day, completely by chance, I discovered that my family, through the organisation of my mom, had collected funds and had already bought me a car to help me get to work...</p> <p> </p> <p>Francois had already turned down over 4 leads on the vehicle, holding it for my test drive booking, and after accepting my deposit had taken down the advertisments for it. When I called him to explain my new situation and the fact that I would not be buying the vehicle after all he was very understanding, joking a little and teasing me saying I was "taking food off his family's table".</p> <p>(Having signed an offer to purchase, my lawyer informed me that there was no obligation to release the deposit, and it was entirely at the discretion of the dealer...)</p> <p> </p> <p>Francois discussed the situation with his manager and said there was no problem, they would refund me my deposit as soon as I sent my banking details. I felt very bad for letting him down, as well as for the inconvenience I had caused (they would now have to re-post all the ads for the vehicle!) and was so pleased and relieveded to hear this (the deposit was a lot of money to me) I offered a 10% "handling or transaction" fee on the deposit...</p> <p> </p> <p>Imagine then how impresed (and relieved!) I was to get the bank notification later that the full amount had been deposited.</p> <p> </p> <p>This reflects the high standard of integrity, professionalism and over all positive attitude of Northwest Nissan and their very likeable champion dealer, Francois Fourie...</p> <p> </p> <p>Although a really lucky (for me*) intervention by my family has sorted out my present vehicle needs, I wouldn't hesitate to recomend Francois and Northwest to anyone looking for the peace of mind and complete confidence in buying a used vehicle. If I'm in the market again I will start my search (and probably end it ) with them....</p>
