**************** for 90k service of NP200

Yesterday, I received and invoice for R9250 for my NP200 1.5dCi (diesel)'s 90,000 service; i.e. oil, oil filter, cam belt, topping up fluids, inspection. According to them they also adjusted the foot brake, which is not possible... Labour alone was R3750, which, according to the dealership, is according to Nissan SA rate. However, Nissan fails to explain why their mechanics took almost 4 HOURS! to complete the labour, whereas other professional mechanics say they can do all of this, with ease, within 1 hour. 1 to 2 hours would be a more realistic rate. Parts are also excessively overcharged! Northwest now holds the vehicle hostage unless R9250 gets paid. I do not believe that a professional mechanic in a busy dealership would work so slowly on a car - on a run of the mill job - and therefore I strongly suspect that there is some irregularity involved in the calculation of these hours. Our Petrol NP200 1.6 8V bakkie had the same service for R5600 and has spark plugs, which the diesel does not have. I have had very bad experiences with our Datsun Go and Juke Tekna at same dealership. "Supergroup"! What a joke... I own a Juke Tekna, 2xNP200 1.6i, NP200 diesel, 2x Datsun Go. All were bought new and am now very upset about my decision to previously support Nissan! Recommend future Nissan customers consider this ****************!
