Peter -Northern Rigging -Durbanville

If I could give a negative rating to Northern Rigging, I would. Today, we made use of their services to collect a large amount of Astroturf and deliver it to our business. We agreed on a quote for the delivery of 20 x 21x4 meter rolls of Astro. Northern Rigging was scheduled to meet my employee at the collection point at 9am this morning, but arrived late. After they started loading, my employee received calls and whatsapp messages from a guy called Peter (from Northern Rigging) complaining that it is going to take more than one truck load. My employee then reminded him that he quoted us on the delivery of 20 x 21x4m rolls, which is what he is expected to collect and deliver. He got very aggressive over the phone shouting that he does not have time for this. My employee arrived back at our property to wait for the truckload to arrive. After several hours of waiting, she contacted the company to ask where they are as she has been waiting for 3 hours after the agreed time of delivery. The delivery of all the rolls had to happen before the end of business day, in order for our finance department to pay Northern Rigging for their services. The first truckload only arrived after 15:00pm. The last truck load arrived at 21:28pm. In the meantime, Peter phoned and whatsapped my employee, screaming, swearing and threatening her that he wants his payment immediately or he will instruct his driver to drive off with our Astroturf. She explained to him that our finance department is already closed; that as agreed, we expected delivery to happen before close of business. He threatened her by saying that he was going to instruct his driver to drive off with the Astroturf if he does not see proof of payment. She again asked if we could not make the payment first thing on Monday morning as she does not have access to the company accounts, but Peter did not even give her the chance to speak, he just shouted at her that he will instruct his driver to drive off with our Atroturf. The driver was very flustered, saying that he realizes that it would be theft if he drives off. I then contacted Peter, to see if we can come to an agreement. Peter did not allow me to speak either, he just kept on screaming at me, threatening to drive off with the delivery worth R24000 x 20 and then put the phone down in my ear. I messaged him on whatsapp stating that due to delivery 4 hours after close of business, I will only be able to make and EFT payment on Monday morning when the office opens again, however, we are willing to pay him in cash on delivery. He read my message, but did not respond. He just phoned his driver to instruct him to not deliver and to drive off. Out of desperation, my colleague again offered to pay him cash on delivery, from her personal account. Peter did not want to accept the payment. This was by far the worst service I have ever received. Peter from Northern Rigging is rude, unprofessional and dishonest and should not be allowed to do business.
