north fridge are ******* ************

I contacted North fridge to repair a Telefunken bar fridge at my house. They arrived in a car that needed to be parked on a slope because its starter motor was faulty. It was then that I should have cancelled the call.

They looked at the fridge for about 2 minutes and told me that the controller board was burnt. They pretended to check the price of a new controller board on their cell phone and quoted me R2500 to repair a board on a fridge that costs R1900 new!

When I asked them where they had obtained the price from they told me Tecsa in Northriding so while they were there I phoned Tecsa who told me that they don't carry Telefunken spares. I asked the technicians what there game was and they told me to put the phone down and approached me aggressively.

It was then that I realised that North Fridge are only about getting their R400 call out fee and they go about it by quoting a ridiculous price to repair a fridge that you will obviously reject and you are then obliged to pay the R400 call out fee. When I told them that this was a **** they demanded their R400 call out fee or I would be sorry!

This is not a fridge or appliance repair company it is a set of gangsters gaining access to your house so be warned!!

By the way I phoned another on site fridge repair company and they immediately told me on the phone that there are no spares for Telefunken fridges so they would be wasting my money by checking the fridge.
