I have been paying my tuition fees account since September 2019 it was R23 464 I have never missed a payment since. My last payment was in April 2022 because I had financial problems. I get called by consultants almost every day I kept explaining why I did not pay , so I asked for a statement..I got shocked to see my balance was R20 000. I called several times wanting an explanation why there is so many charges, there is an interest every month even if you pay, an interest which is not consistent. After numerous attempts for waiting for an an explanation I got the manager , he told me the interest that is charged is because Vaal University of Technology handed over the account that is why there is an interest fee but every month ? EVEN WHEN I PAY , EVEN DOUBLE? ,I asked what amount must I pay so I do not get these interest, he told me the solution is just to settle the whole amount , sies , Whats shocking is the interest fee is not consistent, they even charge me for phone calls and sms. . How will I finish the account if they charging me so much, what is the point then? The manager had the nerve to tell to go to the bank and make a loan so I can settle them.
