Harrassment on an account from over 10 years ago
<p>Good day</p> <p> </p> <p>Herewith I would please like to log a complaint. I sincerely hope that you would be able to assist me regarding this matter.</p> <p> </p> <p>On the 28th of January 2017 I received an sms stating the following: URGENT payment of R100.00 required today or by this WEEKEND on your overdue Altech Acc 1-62 ********** 6. Call NBA on ********** 223 to arrange or settle!”</p> <p> </p> <p>On first glance I thought, I do not have and Altech account, maybe this has been sent to me in error. I decided to contact them and inform them of the incorrect receipt of this sms. This is when I realized that this account has been an account of mine from many years ago, however, the number stipulated in the sms was from Norman, Biset and Accociates, the company who bought over the books of Altech Netstar. They then advised me that they do not have any other information of mine on the system.</p> <p> </p> <p>I then decided to contact Altech Netstar directly to try and determine what this account is for? To my surprise, I was informed that my account was outstanding from 2007!! What? Why would the first notification of any such account only be sent to me 10 YEARS LATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I clearly remember that my account was closed when my car was sold in 2007. They told me that numerous emails have been sent to myself, i then asked for them to please confirm that emial address, whereby i was told that there is no email address on their system. So where did they send all these so called emails tooo??</p> <p> </p> <p>As from the 28th of January 2017 I have literally been harassed by Norman, Biset and Associates. I am very sorry, there is no way that I am going to accept that I owe these people any money and that the first communication to myself was only 10 years later. </p> <p> </p> <p>Today again I received a call from Norman, Biset and Associates. The lady who contacted me is Linsey Lenn and the number I received the call from is ********** 672 @14:14</p> <p> </p> <p>Please could someone assist me regarding this matter. This is against the NCR and the harassment is unfair. I would really appreciate your assistance regarding this matter. Any account that has surpassed the 5 year mark should be written off, This has surpassed that mark twice right?</p>
