Harrassment for an unknown account from 1998 - ***?????
I have had the exact same issue. After sitting on hold for 8mins listening to some **** of adverti*****ts, eventually a call centre agent answered. When I advised about the text message, she put the phone down on me. I called again, on hold for another 8-9mins listening to stupid adverti*****ts before getting another call centre agent to try assist me. Have sent all the affidavits, etc. required. Have since received another text message saying I now owe almost R3500 for a phone account from 1998, when I know I was on Vodacom pre-paid, this was apparently for an MTN account. I supp**** affidavits, copies of my ID, signatures, etc... and advised this was a ***** case, hence I submitted all the relevant documents. This originally went to Nashua's ***** department. Got my 1st text message last year regarding this account. Advised them I never had a Nashua Mobile Account. They advised I must please send copy of my ID, with 6 initials / signatures on as well as go to the Police Department to get an affidavit. I have done all this with the previous person who phoned. Now I am still getting text messages and they keep saying they will update the system (which amazingly never gets updated) and now I must send all these documents again. Clearly there is an issue with the Nashua Mobile accounts that were "handed over". This now affects my credit history because of some idiot who **********ly took out an account in my name. Still waiting for that call to say the ***** Case has been resolved..... but oh wait that won't happen, since Nashua Mobile went out of business in 2014. What an absolute joke. Somebody best sort this out, else I along with many others will be seeking attorneys of our own, for harassment charges against Norman Bissett & associates. It isn't our fault that your client (Nashua Mobile) went out of business.
