Harassment with regards to settled debt

I was called by Norman Bissett regarding an outstanding Zone fitness account. I advised the person I spoke to on the phone that I would settle it directly with Zone fitness. She said not a problem i asked for the outstanding amount (R3500) called Zone fitness, they advised me it was okay and I paid Zone the amount in full.

A week or two later I was called again. I was spoken too very rudely and was advised by your employee that I owed them an amount of close to R6000. I told her I paid my account directly with Zone and I was advised of the previous amount (R3500) She told me this was incorrect, so I asked for a breakdown of the cost and saw all the legally fees which was not provided in the first call. ( R20 a phone call, for calls I hadn't answered)

Since then I have been haressed with e-mails , phone calls and now a letter, for an account which was settled directly, due to incorrect information provided by your employee originally.

Secondly I have told every useless call centre staff member advising them to contact Zone directly to confirm this, yet I am asked the same thing over and over. I am asked for a proof of deposit yet I do not feel that is my responsiblity. You are contracted to Zone fitness and if an account is settled directly you should obtain the relevant information. Not once has anyone taken this up with Zone gotten back to me and advised of outstanding legals fees or anything of the sort ot provided any progress wit regards to the information I provided.

I will taken this further with the ombudsman should an agreement is arranged soon, since the information I do provide appears not to be taken into account and i do feel that the legal fees should not be paid as all you have one is cost me more money and nothing but stress over something that could be sorted out quite simply if staffed listened and simply did their job.

Please contact me regarding this matter as I will seek further legal advise.
