Booking.com and Nooitgedacht guesthouse Colesberg can't give an answer

Made a booking in October through booking.com to stay at Nooitgedacht guesthouse in Colesberg as we are traveling to Cape Town from Pretoria.

Monday morning the week before our trip booking.com conveniently just let's me know via email that the booking is canceled and that the guesthouse can no longer accommodate us. This is after the payment is already made. I phone the guesthouse trying to find out what the problem is but with no success, they are reluctant to answer their phones and no ones seems to have an answer for me. Very unprofessional and all trust is broken with regards to booking.com which only gives automated responses. I will never be making use of both the guesthouse and booking.com
