Sudden outstanding amount after years of non service

I have not been back to this vet as they are extremely expensive and only money driven. I have not used them in years. Suddenly i get a notice that i owe them money. They fail to provide an invoice and a statement. At any vet practice, including the shop, NO animal and NO products may leave the shop and practice without payment there and then. If you cant pay, the animal stays, or the products does not leave the store. Thats it. Done Deal. End of story.

So this means that products or services were added **********ly to my account, or out of greed, hence them failing to provide an invoice or statement. They claim they have been trying to contact me all this time. They cannot forward me ONE email where they tried to contact me. How is it possible to have an outstanding amount on a vet bill? How do i know a staff member did not add something to a random account for themselves.

I would really want to know where this sudden outstanding amount came from, if they do not allow animals to leave without payment. They refuse discount, and everything must be settled there and then.

So after years of not using their services, where does a sudden outstanding amount arise from?
