********* business practice and false advertising at No.11 @Michaelpointe Resort, Margate. South Africa

I am extremely disappointed in the management of property bookings at No.11 @Michaelpointe, Margate, South Africa, due to their ********* business practice and false advertising! I had booked an apartment for 2 nights for a family of 4 at there beach resort for the long weekend via Bookings.com. I made an eft payment yesterday 30/03/3023 and I received a confirmation of my booking. Today I was sent a email stating that my booking has been cancelled by the property without a valid reason. So I went back onto the Bookings.com app only to see that the apartment which I had booked was still available but the price had almost doubled. So I contacted Bookings.com to enquire what had happened, they informed that my booking had been cancelled but they couldn't provide me with a valid reason as to why this had occured. They informed me that the property updates the adverti*****t on their app. Upon my request, they also informed me that they cannot refund money instantly due to their company policy and will now hold my money for between 7 to 12 days until it clears on their system. I have tried to contact the resort a few times today on the cell number provided but was cut off within seconds of my initial call to them and have had no response from them yet. I'm extremely disappointed in the unprofessional and ********* behavior of the bookings management of No.11 @Michaelpointe, Margate, beach resort as they have not only ruined my plans for the long weekend but I now have to use additional funds to pay for another booking until the money that I have already paid clears. If the resort needed to change the price of their apartments, they should have updated the system and their adverti*****t before someone had already booked and made payment! The customer must pay the price that is being advertised.

I feel inconvenienced and quite ********** and will certainly be taking this matter up further!
