No Zone
So to start I apologize that this is a long read. No Zone is a store that does custom printing on t-shirts,hoodies,mugs etc.
The first time I came into the store I was met with friendly helpful people who were happy and willing to help. I got a T-shirt made and it came out wonderfully!
Therefore, when a very close friends birthday came a friend and I pooled some money and I did not hesitate to go to them to make something special, which I needed Saturday Afternoon.
I had made a custom image and upon initial inspection by the owners the image was to small, so I promised to resize and resend, via email which I did.
I was met with an email that Friday that the new dimensions didn’t work either and that I could use their designer at an extra fee (designer that was new information) already having spent my budget I phoned and asked what the problem was I was told it was the fonts. On this call I said I would resend new images.
I changed the fonts completely and resent 2 emails (in which I also stated if this didn’t work I would send a generic picture to use instead) I received no reply. So later I phoned to check. The older gentleman who works there answered and as he was busy at the time said he would confirm later the day. I was met with no response until late the afternoon an email stating “my hoodie was ready for collection” therefore I thought everything was fine.
When I entered the store early Saturday morning, I could immediately feel something was off as I was greeted with a slightly cold shoulder by the woman who worked there. She presented the hoodie, I was informed that I was told it would not work…
I looked at the hoodie and well the image was pixilated and didn’t låook of the best quality what really stunned me (the real issue) was that it was the very first image I had given them.
When I tried to explain to the woman that this wasn’t the new image I sent, she kept repeating that that was, the last image they received. I grabbed my phone and opened my emails to show her otherwise…which she also didn’t believe, both herself and the gentleman then had to check their respective emails and computers to see, exactly what I showed them.
I then had to spend about 5 minutes pointing out to the gentleman (who had at this time gotten more involved) how the two images were different as he was convinced, they were the same thing.
I could hear the gentleman was getting frustrated as his voice started to raise so he eventually came down to the response off “he would look into what happened here”, but when I met him with statement that I needed it today that’s when his voice started to really raise. Generally, I am a very shy person who hates getting intro confrontational situations so when this happened, I just wanted out. I told them that I did not want to continue this that they could refund me and that could be it. I gave my banking details and hightailed it out of there.
When I returned home and informed my family of what happened my mother was not happy and demanded the number to phone No Zone I am not sure of all the details here as I had to inform my other friend who had contributed to the gift what had happened.
My mom apparently spoke to the gentleman who went so far as to swear at her and then refuse to repay the money.
I have as of yet not received the money back, I don’t think I ever will. I felt horrible that the plans for my friend was ruined. I don’t know if it was really just a case of unseen emails or if the moment I said no to the designer that’s when their personal help stopped, but at no point did the store take any responsibility when they knew they printed the wrong image.
