No Limit Drilling / Water Drilling CPT

I was referred to hire No Limit Drilling / Water Drilling CPT to drill a borehole at my property. He does a lot of work in the Gauteng area. I dealt with the owner. We agreed on a quote and confirmed a date to work. I paid a deposit of R10 000. He had me hire skips for him. He never pitched. He gave me the biggest run around for 14 days promising me to come but never did. He would not answer my calls or messages. He would call me days later and promise to come. Another time he said his colleague Victor would come do the work, again never happened. Every time I would call the morning off and confirm time of arrival, he would not answer his phone. He **** to me consistently, apologizing and making more promises to come and do the work. He never did. I asked him for my deposit back as he clearly had no intention to do the work. He refused and said he would give me a discount. He still never pitched and continued to lie to me. He simply refused to give me my deposit back with no explanation. Then he wanted to charge me a cancellation fee even though the cancellation was a result of him not holding up his side of the agreement. The lady who referred was a colleague and good friend of his, she was absolutely mortified at his service as he was now giving her a bad name as well. She has refused to send any more business his way. It has now been 6 weeks, I have had to go the legal route and take it to claims court. He has not responded to the letter of demand and now will have to go to court. Owner is not professional, showed a lack of integrity, was dishonest and cheated his way into financial gain. I would not recommend him to anyone, and would not trust the quality of his work if this is how he deals with clients.
