REFUSAL TO PAY FOR SERVICES RENDERED

We recovered a vehicle on the 04th June 2024. On 18 June No Finance Cars Johannesburg contacted us, we were asked to provide a quotation to repair and did so along with 31 photos of the damages to the vehicle. We were then asked to provide an invoice for storage and salvage along with proof of banking. Today 28 June Mercia Sellars writes and advises the vehicle towing was unauthorised as we did not have her permission. In other words taking without permission means that we are *******, is that not so? We believed that through the correspondence we were being paid today 28 June, sadly this is not so. According to Mercia Sellars she only received one photo of the vehicle, she needs an ID for a registered company, company documents and photos of the vehicle and once she has those along with a reduced invoice the payment process will be initiated. Is this what 30 years in the industry means to No Finance Cars? Your employees can speak to clients as they please and when they are told they are offensive they refer to a legal team because they can bully the little guy? No man, this is not okay; the vehicle is parked in a secure locked up workshop with CCTV behind remote access gates and 24hr CID patrols. The space occupied by your vehicle is being paid by our business, the liability cover for our workshop includes that vehicle. So after almost 10 days of speaking with an employee of No Finance Cars, we have met the initial request asked of us [repair quotation, photos, salvage & storage invoice and stamped proof of bank account] and based on email correspondence we expected payment to be made om 28 June as promised. Then, out of the blue Mercia Sellars starts corresponding and asking for additional documents for an Ad Hoc payment. We are not entering into a contract, this is a once off payment. Are we expected to provide a blood sample next? Do you as the owners condone this behaviour by the people you entrust the daily operations of your business to?
