No matter how desperate you get, rather Uber or use a taxi that rent at NFC ..stress Shem 🤞 I wish I came to hello peter before I signed... I'm go-wishing as I'm writing this review...Never Ever

I rented a standard manual 2019 Ford Figo with 83000 km on the 15th of March 2023, I paid a key deposit of R22 500, and my monthly installment was R5950(which includes tracker & insurance), the contract was over 54- months...at the end of the 54 months the war was going to be mine and I'll get me deposit back. Well that's what I was told and signed for. Well it was all good 👍 and I was 😊 happy enjoying my FIGO... until the vehicle was involved in an accident on the 31st of July 2023.

I called NFC, they towed the car from the accident scene to their workshop in Boksburg...then 2 weeks later I was told by Rowan that the car has been written off. According to the contract, in that situation, NFC insurance will settle 80% of the vehicle retail value, and I as the renter have to settle 20%. Well that's didn't bother me at all as I knew that they already have my R22500...I'll only pay the difference.

😳Yeyyy....a week later, I received an email from Dimakatso with a reconciliation letter which demanded four consecutive monthly installment which they called Pre-estimated loss cost amounting to R23 800. That wasn't all....on top of that they also charged me 20% of the vehicle retail value which was a total of R30 060. Meaning in total I had to pay R53860. That total amount was paid by my R22500 deposit and I had a balance of R31360 to settle.

Yep....I was billed R53 860 for a 2019 FORD FIGO which had about R94 000 km at the time of the accident(total loss). Apparently the four consecutive monthly installment are compulsory for everyone who has a total loss, plus the 20% vehicle retail value.

I'm still healing inside
