NFC's INCOMPETENCE

I rented a vehicle 2 years ago from NFC. Me being the person I am I took comprehensive vehicle insurance cover with OUTsurance to avoid headaches when an incident occurs, (on collection day i was briefed that although NFC has some cover for damage I can take a better cover or additional cover) . I kept my premiums updated, I never missed a payment. On the 15th of February 2024 I had an accident on the N3. I called NFC and notified them and indicated to the gentleman that I have vehicle cover with OUTsurance and I'll notify them and get the vehicle towed. He refused and said NFC vehicles are only towed by them. He sent Firs Help to tow the vehicle then the following morning I notified OUTsurance and started with the claim process. OUTsurance towed the vehicle from NFC Boksburg where it was stored after approval of the claim, they took it to Global Auto Bodies for repairs. The vehicle was fixed (great work I must add), I collected the vehicle and notified Louren from NFC that I have the vehicle with me and it's fixed, I asked if there's anything needed from my side, she said I should email photos of the car which I did on the 4th of April 2024, she acknowledged receipt of email, and that was the last communication regarding the vehicle and the accident. On the 31st of May 2024 I recieved an SMS from Santie Pretorius from NFC saying that I owe R4325,00 and I should make a payment and send POP. I imidately called Loren to find out what this is about, I was told that I owe the towing company that money. I indicated that I wanted OUTsurance to tow the vehicle and they (NFC) refused and asked how is that amount due to me, as I was disputing that, I recieved an Email from Santie Pretorius on the 3rd of June 2024 Demanding a payment of R4735.00 and an additional R3000.00 penalty fee or they're coming to collect the Vehicle. No invoice was sent to me to this day, I don't know where the figures were derived from, no proper communication, no professionalism, only bullying tactics. On the 11th of June 2024 the vehicle was collected. I went from having an up to date premiums to owing R7325.00 and a vehicle collection and threats in les than 12 days. THAT'S NFC (No Finance Cars) to be exact. Just a friendly advice about what you'll be getting yourself into.
