*********** staff umhlanga Mercedes
Mercedes umhlanga so disappointing. Sometimes back during the covid 19 peak I had a Bett3 problem with my A200 so I called on the Mercedes dbn dealership and they sent the mechanic to boost the car few days later the same problem occurred but this time the fan belt was making a squirk noise and my mileage was close to 98000km so I called the dealership sent another mechanic who boosted the car again and recommended that I should send it in the workshop I then phoned the dealership to book the car for battery replacement once it was at the dealership I told them about about the squirky sound and asked them to just service the car since it was getting close to 100km they then said during that time they were only dealing with emergencies and essential workers. So they only replaced my battery. Fast forward when I tried booking the car in umhlanga in September I was told they don't do telephone bookings anymore and that I must go online then I tried again in October was then told the same so I call my sales man from the same branch and he did the booking for me and I advised him that I wasn't sure about the mileage but it was JUST above 100000km and I was in hospital taking bloods he then advised that I shouldn't drive the car any further to prevent accumulating further mileage and gave me the 22/10/2020 as the date to bring my car in this date was exactly 10days from the day of him making a booking. I then asked that as a working person how am I supposed to travel anyway I heeded his advised and parked of the car for 10days until the 22nd. Upon my arrival at the dealership I was allocated a service advisor called Kyle he did the inspection and saw the mileage and asked me if I would be paying cash I then explained to him that I was advised the car will be assessed and the warranty manager will then send the email to nmisa for approval and that the process will take 3days and I will be informed throughout. The following day I called Kyle and he told me the email was sent they were just waiting for the comments from nmisa, I then called again Kyle promised to call me in 2min and he never did. On Monday the 26th I went to dealership to check on what was happening I was told Kyle was absent and no one knew anything about my car even the warrant official even worse the whereabouts of the were also unknown so I left after they promised to call me the next day. 27th waited for the call u till after 9:30am I then phoned Kyle and asked him about the email he then made 360 degrees turn saying no email was sent and when I asked him y he said my car was over 100000km and I asked him u was the kept there is because it was over thT mileage and that is y the email was to be sent he then tells me they won't send the email and again I asked him why was my car kept there for 6 days and couldn't answer me he further insinuate that I tempered with the mileage when he said the car had 101000km when it was booked for service but when it actually came it had 100319km which I made clear to him thT this was a very serious allegations I then requested to pick up my car and when I picked it up it had 100392 km 72km more then what was said to be the arrival mileage.
