Urgent Follow-Up on Fund Withdrawal – Unacceptable Delay
Following my resignation from my previous employer in September 2024, I submitted an application to withdraw my funds held with NMG on 19 December 2024.
I am now entering the eighth week of continuous follow-ups, receiving only vague updates on the "stage" of my application, yet no firm payout date. This delay is entirely unacceptable. What is even more frustrating is that if I do not initiate follow-ups, I receive no communication at all.
To make matters worse:
On 10 January 2025—nearly a month after my application—I was informed that before my claim could proceed, I needed to confirm what should be done with a remaining balance of R2,300.86. This clearly indicates that absolutely nothing had been done with my application up to that point. On 8 February 2025—almost two months after submission—I received an email requesting my ID number, despite it already being included in my original application. All my details were provided from the start, making this request completely unnecessary and further proof of the inefficiency in handling my claim.
