Late IRP5 submission

I resigned from my employer in December 2014 and elected to take my provident pay out. I received my pay out on the 9th of March after calling them numerous times and getting no response. They have however submitted my 2015 IRP5 in the 2016 financial year and now according to SARS I owe nearly R15k. When I inquired why it was submitted late they told me it doesn't matter and that SARS should correct the error. However I went to SARS and sat there for 2 hours only to be told that NMG has to resubmit my form and that there's nothing they can do. I then contacted Garth, the tax head, and he said they can't resubmit and basically told me it is not their problem. He said I should just dispute the assessment with SARS. SARS maintain though it is the fault of NMG and they cannot correct the mistake. <br> <br> I find this level of laziness and incompetence totally pathetic! This matter has been on going since July 2015. <br> They do not even acknowledge that they have made an error. <br>
