Frustrations Dealing with NMG Benefits

NMG Benefits is truly the worst company to deal with. I am an ex-employee of NMG Benefits and my retirement claim form was sent to NMG Benefits by my consultants. As a retiree with no further income, I desperately tried to get fèedback without any success and eventually got a response by contacting their COO (S Buthelezi). I then received a response from their admin head, Sharon Nagdee, who confirmed that my claim forms were received by them on the 13th February 2026. She further confirmed that the Recognition of Transfer form (ROT) will be sent to the receiving Fund by the latest 27th March. Needless to say that the ROT is still not sent, as at 1 April, inspite my continued follow-ups with everyone at NMG (including CC to their COO). It is now almost 7 weeks later since they have received my claim forms and no further feedback, inspite of my desperate plea to them regarding my lack of funds for my living expenses.

Dealing with NMG has been extremely frustrating as staff knowingly act with no sence of urgency, accountability or reprecussion even if you copy the company's COO in your follow ups.

My advice to anyone deciding to do any business with NMG Benefits is please, please save yourself the grief and frustration and Don't do any business with this company or you will regret it for the rest of your life. I now fully understand the reason why NMG Benefits only has a 1.3 star rating out of 5 stars.

Reviewer Update
NMG has received the signed ROT on the 8th of April from the receiving Fund. The application for tax directive is an overnight application so a maximum of 1 day after which payment should have been made. It is now a week later and no payment was made. I followed up with NMG today and they advised tosay 15th April only to be told that payment will take another 48 hours to reflect meaning that the payment was only done today after I followed up. So it seems like the members will need to constantly manage their claim process otherwise nothing will get done at NMG Benefits. Why would anyone in their right mind invest their life savings with this irresponsible company.

The service received (if you can call it that) is absolutely shocking from NMG Benefits.
