Deplorable service, exceptionally slow responses to email or no responses to queries at all, feedback inconsistencies

Hi. I received a call from a tracing agency many months ago to say that there are fees owed to me from the Lewis Group Provident Fund. I resigned from the Lewis Head Office in 2004. I forwarded all the necessary documents as requested by the tracing agency, who confirmed that NMG had received it. Months later, I contacted NMG's call centre on ********** 000 and spoke to a Loyiso, who couldn't confirm if there was money owed to me, even after giving him both my ID and employee numbers. I wanted confirmation on the amount owed to me. I proceeded to log a query with support via NMG's website on 6 September 2016. The reference number conferred to me from NMG support was 2691. Several weeks later, on 27 September I got a response from Kagiso Msimanga. He said that an administrator would get back to me within 48 hours with a benefit quote. He also asked me for my email address, which I found very alarming, since he was emailing me his response to my email address. So he actually emailed me to my email address to ask for my email address. I told him that and confirmed my email address and my other details again. Note that I had already given my details in the initial message and these were simply replies to that message. Support sent me another email on 31 October 2016 to ask for my ID or employee number. They eventually gave me an email address for Kaveer Maharaj. I emailed him to ask for a benefit quote and he responded saying he wanted my ID number. I responded with my ID number on that same day and up to now, I have not heard anything back. He also did not respond to two other emails I had subsequently sent. So in essence, NMG has been giving me the run around with my queries since September 2016. The person at the call centre couldn't confirm whether I have funds owed to me, and then another person responds saying that I do have funds owed to me. I want to know what the amount is owed to me, and whether I will be paid interest on the amount, seeing the money has been outstanding and sitting with Lewis Stores for a whopping 12 years. I also need to know when the money will be paid into my account. This is a matter of urgency for me, and the service I have received from NMG is terrible. My employee number is 27616 and my email address is **********

Good day Melanie
I sincerely apologize for the kind of service you have received.
Please note that we have received your withdrawal claim form, from the tracing company 15/09/2016.
The unclaimed benefit process take 6 months for us to process and finalize a claim. I have also check if there is a benefit that is due to you, which there is.
I have also sent your benefit statement to your personal email address.

Hi Palesa. That is completely incorrect! The tracing company received my documentation in June 2016 so how could you have received my withdrawal claim form on 15 September 2016?I have emails sent to me from the tracing agency to confirm receipt of my documentation and when they sent the documentation to NMG. Also, you've sent me a benefit statement that cannot be for me, as you have the wrong date of birth on there. You've sent me a statement for someone else. I cannot fathom how that is even possible, as I have given my ID number. You must be confusing me with another claimant, because that is not my date of birth! I am beyond frustrated with NMG. The benefit amount is obviously wrong and there is no way that I am going to wait until March for my money when I have email confirmation that my documentation was received and sent in June 2016. I am beyond frustrated with NMG Benefits.

So I've received a second benefit statement from someone else at NMG with an employee number that is not mine. Also, the benefit amount differs to the amount in the statement I first received today. How is that possible? I've worked for Lewis Stores from 1 ********** and that is not my employee number stipulated on the second inaccurate benefit statement I received today. There are too many inconsistencies, and I am certain my claim has been mixed up with another claimant's.

Hi Palesa. As per your emailed request last week, I've emailed you the second benefit quote. You said you were going to investigate the matter last week, but I have not received any feedback from you yet. What was the outcome of your investigation?
