We were so excited when we received a community hall. We booked the hall for a wedding in December 2017.we were advised the hall is available, we paid the amount required. Few days later we advised that on the same day, they will be a funeral. Can we move our starting time to later. We rejected that because we had people traveling from far, we needed to finish early so they can be to travel back. We were further advised that whether we accept or reject the request the hall will be used for the funeral. We then requested our deposit back. To date we have not received the money back. Despite emails forwarded to the municipality and their representatives. They refused or failed to pay the money back. Three months on, still waiting. The matter was referred to Human right commission. We have not received any response.
