Gatvol of the Lies and Stories!!!

<p>Took our Qashqai to nissan woodmead for 120 000km service, i get a phone call about what needs to be done:</p> <p> </p> <p>Tie rods replaced - how these wear down is beyond me, maybe someone can explain? approx R4500<br />Front brakes replaced (no problem with that) brake discs need to be replaced, worn down to minimum spec (never been skimmed)!! approx R4000 - ???<br />rear shocks leaking (apparently) what do shocks cost these days?</p> <p>The TOTAL cost of "all these repairs" comes to R18 000!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>Took the car the next day to super quick - This is what actually needs doing:</p> <p>Shocks - Much cheaper than Nissan</p> <p>Front brake pads - again cheaper than nissan (and they have stock - nissan go absolutely no stock of anything???)</p> <p>Skim brake discs as there is a groove in the disc (so why not tell me that - why spin stories about its worn down below minimum spec and needs replacement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cost to skim R370!!!!!</p> <p>Nothing wrong with Tie rods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But nissan want R4500 to replace??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????</p> <p> </p> <p>I want the owner of McCarthy Nissan to see this, never using them again, tired of the Lying and the F#$%^%$#G Stories!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>The first time i took the car their - they spun a story about why they didnt fix the windscreen chip i payed for. What they should have done is just admit they never fixed it and get it done!</p> <p>They spun a story about the bracket for the on board computer and what a big whoohaa it was to sort out - nissan melrose just replaced bracket without any stories.</p> <p>Always a F*****G story with these guys.</p> <p>So the complete cost of what actually NEEDED to be done - was about R4000 which super quick did and payed them happily for their honesty and integrity!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>You should be ashamed of yourselves!!! Play open cards, give the customer options - dont RIP them off!!!</p> <p>Brian the service advisor i dealt with (who knows that we have had problems with the dealership before) - you my friend need to be fired if you think what you explained to me is honest and correct!! and you still phone me and spin stories about brake disc replacement and tie rod replacement!!! </p> <p> </p>
