Nissan SA Failed to Refund R82,276 as Promised – No Payment After 48 Hours
I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Nissan South Africa and a specific dealership (name it if you want). After a long dispute regarding the gearbox on my vehicle, Nissan confirmed in writing on 22 July 2025 that a refund of R82,276.00 had been approved and would reflect in my account within 48 hours. They also requested my proof of account and ID, which I submitted immediately.
To date, no refund has been paid, and I have received no explanation or update despite several emails. I was promised a “pleasant customer experience” but instead, I’ve been subjected to lies, emotional stress, and financial inconvenience.
This matter has dragged on for months, and I even had an independent inspection which confirmed that the gearbox they claimed was “new” was actually my old one, repaired.
I am now escalating this to MIOSA and will not rest until this is resolved. I trusted Nissan and paid over R82,000 — and now I’m being treated like I don’t matter.
Enough is enough.
