POOR PERFORMANCE AND CONSTANT MALFUNCTIONS ON A 2016 NISSAN QASHQAI

It is with sadness, equally disappointment to have to write this review.

About 12 months ago, I traded in my 2014 Nissan Juke for a 2016 Nissan Qashqai Tech at NEC. Quite disappointingly, I have experienced problems after another.

• The first problem was with the auto handbrake that was not functional. (taken to Automall and it was fixed) • The central locking was also not fully functional at some point. All doors would lock except for the driver’s door (taken to NEC and fixed) • Vehicle recently went for the 30 000 km service. Sadly, when I visited a filling station before my drive from EL to PE, I was astound when the petrol attendant informed me that the oil levels were critically low. I took the vehicle to NEC and 2 pints were filled. • Recently, I went to fill up my tank, as a regular and precautionary check, I requested the petrol attendant to check oil levels, water and tyres. Sadly, oil level was yet again critically low. I had to pay for 2 pints to be filled yet again. • Concerned, I took the vehicle to Automall and was assisted by the manager. He performed a visual check and informed that no immediate problems were visible and that an alternative would be to book the vehicle in for the whole day in order for them to do fault finding for a diagnosis. He further alluded that the problem could be the engine (manufactures/factory fault). In which case, this would leave me without a vehicle for an estimated 3 weeks.

My concerns:

• I am highly inconvenienced being without a vehicle as this is a primary requirement of my employment. • Furthermore, it would be disastrous and will have a negative impact on my professional life should be without a car for an estimate of 3 weeks. • Noted that the value of the vehicle is hugely impacted by all the faults and problems it is giving.

Should I have known that the vehicle was going to be more headache than pleasure, I would have gladly opted for a competing brand. However, I stayed with Nissan because of my loyalty and the good service I had experienced with Justin even with the Nissan Juke.

Noted that the service at Automall is never a pleasing one.
