Nintendo South Africa

To anyone in South Africa planning to buy a Nintendo Switch please consider this before making the same mistake I made. Nintendo's eShop (the online shop you buy games digitally) does not accept South African credit cards at all. This is said nowhere when creating an account at any point. Only once you try to add a credit or debit card to the shop, then does it tell you it is not allowed. This means you can only buy physical game cartridges in shops, as Nintendo also doesn't sell game card vouchers in South Africa either. This is absolutely ridiculous, and it makes me wonder why they bothered to release the console here at all, considering all the limitations to purchase games. There are great sales on the eShop, but since you cannot purchase games there, you will miss out on lots of great deals. Not to mention also missing out on lots of great games that are only released digitally. I've also sent them 3 emails about this in the past 2 weeks, with 0 response so far. For a company in the entertainment business, they are very anti-consumer, which is a shame.
