Complaint - Saturday 20 January '18

We went to Nino's Northgate last Saturday 20 January before going to see Michael McIntyre at the Dome. Absolutely diabolical! There were 6 of us and we arrived between 17:30 and 18:00 as suggested by the staff member I spoke to as no table bookings are taken - good enough. 4 of us arrived together and we ordered drinks, still good. When my sister and her husband arrived 10 minutes later she ordered a glass of wine and she was brought a ****tail glass as they had run out of wine glasses. By the time the rest of us ordered wine, I was given a beer glass to drink my wine and 2 others were given ****tail glasses and our friend who ordered a beer was asked to drink out of the bottle because they had run out of beer glasses, I guess I had the last one. 3 of us ordered Chicken & Veggie Stacks with Brown Mushrooms, my sister ordered chicken with veggies instead of chips and the other 2 ordered steaks. The steak meals were good. However, the 2 steaks and one Chicken, Veggie stack were brought first , 6 minutes later the other 2 Chicken Veggie Stacks were delivered and 5 minutes later my sister's chicken meal was brought, just chicken, no veggies. My husband's and my Chicken Veggie Stacks also had no veggies, just a few brown mushrooms and a piece of green & red pepper. We were told they had also run out of veggies and my sister was brought an extra piece of chicken instead which she refused! There wasn't enough cutlery either, our friends shared cutlery and so did my husband and I until more was brought. All the wait staff were hovering over tables to take cutlery for their customers. We called the Duty Manager who came, stood in front of us, wrung his hands, apologised and said he'd discount our meal by R50, It was an absolute disaster. I have to say however that Helen, our Waitress, did an amazing job under very difficult circumstances and none of this was her fault. Absolutely disgusting and it will be very interesting to see what feedback I get from Nino's HO. I received no feedback on the Fb post I posted on Sunday and today, 24 January, I called their HO in Durban and the electronic message (I hate those) said I should wait for reception which I did until the phone rang for another 2 minutes and cut off. I gave this a 1 star rating only because there wasn't anything less
