Unsafe and unclean vacation stay in Hoekwill, Wilderness

We booked with this host via AirBnb but cut our stay from six nights to one due to safety and hygiene concerns. Safety: This is a shared property with the host living on site with two Boerboels and a Mastiff on the premises - all undisclosed in the listing. During the walk-through I learned the Boerboels had killed their own Yorkie the previous week. The host claimed a 6-foot corrugated iron fence separated the properties - I found a section with only wide-gauge chicken wire. I had two small dogs with me and therefore made other arrangements immediately. Cleanliness: The kitchen utensils and dishes were greasy, sticky, or had dried food on them - we had to wash everything before use. No kitchen plug or dish cloth was provided. The stove was greasy. The dining table required repeated wiping to be usable. In the bathroom: faecal spatter on the toilet, hair clogging the shower drain, and ***** of hair in the shower itself. Carpets had visible pet hair throughout. The bedding and towels were clean at least. Accountability: Despite a less than 10% refund of the total cost of the stay for cleanliness issues, the host maintained the property was safe. I'll leave that for you to judge.
