Financial Loss due to poor admin at Ninety One

I am utterly appalled by the shocking level of incompetence and unprofessionalism displayed by Ninety One. This company has demonstrated a gross inability to fulfill its basic duties, resulting in significant financial consequences for my father due to their failure to provide accurate information to SARS. Admin penalties are currently piling up as Ninety One still has not provided a tax certificate required by SARS, which we will have to pay. This certificate prevents a tax return from being submitted and penalties are nearly at R10k while we wait for Ninety One to provide the documentation.

To make matters worse, my recent visit to their offices was nothing short of a nightmare. The receptionist, Benedicte, who is ostensibly the face of the company, was nothing but rude, dismissive, and utterly incapable of performing even the most basic functions of her role. Her condescending attitude, blatant disregard for customer service and basic courtesy reflect an alarming lack of training and professionalism. It is astonishing that someone so ill-suited for a customer-facing role has been entrusted to represent a company that claims to prioritise clients’ needs.
