Nikon SA pathetic service ask for Lourens as he is clearly the only expert there
Nikon SA Johannesburg has only one Capable Technician (Expert) (Lourens is his name) the rest that I have dealt with are totally clueless.
Today's one got back to me a few hours later. Just to say that my camera was unable to do a certain function that I required. I did a total reset of the camera the function was available but when i restored the setting it did not work. He came back to me insisting that my camera did not have that function available.
The sad thing is that you cannot believe these guys. They clearly don't know their product and should not be representing Nikon. this is the second occasion that i was told that a function was not available. I was fortunate to figure both issues out myself with some guidance from YouTube. The problem I have is that we purchase and spend considerable sums of money for a camera that has specific functionality only to get such service.

I would like to express our regret for the inconvenience caused, as poor customer service is the exact opposite of what we pride ourselves on. We are not in possession of your contact details and will appreciate it if you could kindly contact Lourens to investigate this matter further.

Thanks Jonathan for not only guiding me to resolve my Issue but to actually advise me that of another function on the same button that can be used simultaneously. I am now a lot more positive and just hope that all the rest of the Nikon crew may be able to get to this level of service.
