Nikon Cleaning Service

Sent my two cameras in for a routine clean. When I tried to switch the cameras on after they cleaned it, both cameras didn't respond. Camera equipment being quite expensive, I was quite scared of the possibility of losing both cameras. The likelihood of both cameras failing was a big concern for me. Instead of trying to switch batteries and switch SD and CF cards, I thought I'd go to Nikon and show them the condition of the cameras as I got them. One of the cameras had a flat battery and the problem was solved easily. The other camera however, suddenly got a card slot error (after shooting an hour with it before giving it to Nikon). Regardless of how the problem came to be, there was one thing that really bothered me. The way in which they treated me was very poor. Treating a customer as if he's an idiot is really not the right way to deal with the problem. I didn't make any accusations and just wanted the problem to be solved. From the moment I called Nikon till I walked out I was really disappointed in the way they approached the sitauation. I was treated as another idiot who did not know a thing of camera equipment. The whole ordeal made me decide to switch to Canon after the camera was repaired. They also could not give me a qoute on the spot. After I specifcally asked if it was a common problem. You'd expect to get a rough estimate if it really was THAT common
