<p>South African agents for Nikon are *********** Nikon customers in this country. Their pricing is based on what it would cost a consumer to import the item from the USA, with the high $/R exchange rate plus courier fees plus import duties and VAT. No other suppliers I'm aware price their product like this. If Nikon deny this then perhaps they can explain the incredible coincidence. It costs an American consumer 55% of what we pay here for something like the Nikon D5 or D500. A complete ripoff. If it wasn't so expensive to switch to Canon I'd do it tomorrow. Any potential new customers should head straight to Canon and avoid Nikon at all costs.</p>
