Disgusting service and an inferior product - AW 130

I purchased a AW 130 in March 2016, took it to Madagascar, on my second dive down to 20m it flooded, its rated to 30m by the way. Needless to say that I lost all my photo's, all cleaning procedures were followed. Nikon replaced the camera under warranty.

Then I went diving in Sodwana in December 2016, on my 3rd dive, to 20m, it flooded again!!! More photo's ruined!!! I then returned the camera to the Nikon centre in Centurion again. After me contacting them, they sent me an invoice, with a zero value attached on it. I contacted them and they put me through to a technician saying that they will not cover the warranty as proper cleaning procedures were not followed. I cleaned it using the procedures indicated after every dive. His reasoning was that there was sand in the door, obviously if it fills with sea water, the result will be sand...

Also, if you read reviews on this product, these things seem not to survive underwater pressure as there are lots and lots of complaints, I will start voicing my opinion on those international blogs as well, making mention of my local experience with your incompetant offices as well...

The technician then said he will send me photo's, that after two weeks I am still waiting for...

Please address this, if you fail to do so, I will approach Nikon internationally. This has really bad potential for your brand...

Regards,

Divan
