Verbal and emotional harassment

We came to nike golf in mall of africa, where precious, one of the teller accused myself and 4 other friends of mine of *****ing her phone. We left the store shortly after making a purchase, when she ran up to us and asked us if we had seen her phone. We agreed to check in our bags incase we had accidentally picked it up. We asked her if she had checked the camera, she said no. We then gave her our number and informed her that after she checks the footage, she is free to call as we were still around the mall. About 10 minutes later, she with 2 fidelity security services came and dragged us in front of our restaurant where we were waiting for a table like *********! We had security guards calling us ******* and precious proclaiming that we were the only ones who could have taken it. We asked her again why she came to us making accusations without having checked the camera footage. After asking the protocol which neither she and the security knew, we were just told that they need to search US. We then agreed to go to the store to check the footage with her, when we get there, we asked Donovan, the manager of we could view the tape, he said the cameras don't work then said the cameras needed a code which he didn't have. So we asked him what the protocol is again in such situations, he seemed disinterested, after minutes of pushing him to give us a response, he told us that we can be searched with consent. The security guess told us we could be searched against our will! Long story short, we consented to being searched, they found nothing! We got no appology from precious and the so called manager! I am hoping race has no part to play with this, but our group consisted of 2 medical doctors, a pharmacist, an accountant and an actuarial scientist. The manager informed that the cameras are **** and that he needs a password to access the camera, but if they are **** what are they accessing. All in all, there has to be protocols set in place for such situations and this need to be taught to the staff at large. Very disappointed at today's events. After these events we returned our purchase and no apology given, and according to the manager this happens all the time.
