****** or ageist?

This sore was not busy today (just for clarity sake). Walked into the Access Park branch and searched for the item I wished to purchase, look for the size on the top shelf on my own while attendants walk past and watch. Furthermore, I wished to purchase a sneaker or two and walked through the store in hope someone would stop and assist but to my dismay no body did. I'm not sure if this was due to race or age. When the teller rang up my purchase he asked if I had been assisted, so I said no and proceeded to ask if not being assisted in this store was normal, he did say it was not.
