Nike Zoom - they can’t just do it

I bought a pair of Nike Zoom X for my daughter in Cape Town at the Waterfront. She didn’t wear them for a month. Then when she did, after a few times (of very light wear), the colours started cracking and the bottoms started chipping. I tried to call the shop in CT but was told to call Joburg (as that it is where we live). The cracks have got progressively worse and I have received no response to my communication to Nike. After paying almost R4000 for a pair of sneakers and after having been a loyal Nike customer most of my life, I have to say that I would now have to seriously reconsider purchasing another pair.
