Nike shoes fall apart after 8 months

I bought a pair of Nike shoes only to have the sole de-laminate after 8 months. Nike only offers a 6 month warranty. Nike said it was normal wear and tear and were not interested in helping in any way at all. I thought Nike was a premium brand, this does not appear to be the case. I won't but a pair of Nike shoes again!
