Nike SA retail store doesn't care about it's customers only cares about their friends

I have been calling Nike Stores in Rosebank and Sandton to enquire about a Nike Dunk release. Both stores claimed to not know when the item will be releasing but surprisingly when I called on friday the shoe is sold out.

Why are the stores we trust letting us down? Are they keeping these pairs for their friends? They should inform customers about the stock for transperancy because the store employees prioritise their friends when items are released.
