Horrible customer service

Extremely poor customer service at Nike Mall of Africa in Midrand. They refused to allow for an exchange on shoes that were sold to me as running shoes but they are poorly designed because they knock on the ankle. The refusal was because I did not have the box despite having the purchase receipt. I find it unreasonable to refuse an exchange if the design does not allow for the shoes to serve the purpose they are meant to. Shoes are still in the same condition as I bought them, I only walked around the house with the shoes when trying them and they also used that as an excuse that the shoes have been worn. How else would I have identified that the shoes will not be suitable for running if I hadn’t walked with them? The manager is condescending and does not even try to be accommodating, try and identify the fault I’m complaining about - escalate to senior management to get advise as this is a new product. Horrible Nike experience with people who are only about taking your money and do not care when you have an issue...#no to Nike at Mall of Africa.
