Harrasing calls and unprofessional conduct

<p>This firm does collections for the ambulance service Langamed.</p> <p>After being in a horrific car accident, I advised the paramedics that I do not have a medical aid, they loaded me into what I thought was a state hospital ambulance, as I waited 20 minutes for them to arrive. I asked the paramedics if I will be held liable for any fees, which they advised me "no".</p> <p>Being in a traumatized state, I believed them and then signed what they told me was their "trip sheet". I am now being harrased by these clown attorneys. I am paying the most that I can afford,thinking i will finish up this account as soon as i have enough funds. But that is not even my biggest complaint.</p> <p>My fiance was with me in the ambulance, sitting up straight by my feet and receiving no medical attention, because he is just there for my moral support. Now the circus is proceeding with steps against him FOR THE SAME ACCOUNT. He was also told to sign the "trip sheet" and now he is seen as a patient. On his papers they indicate him receiving medical aid, of which he did not even receive as little as a band aid. </p> <p>At the state hospital it I did not even open an file and I had to advise the attorney to which hospital they took me. If you don't even know at which hospital I was taken to, how can you tell me to pay a R3000 bill? Obviously your ambulance did not take me there then, right???</p> <p> Tell me, in this day and age, does nobody have any sort of humanity anymore? We lost the car, we moved in with family and tried to start our live over, but all these people want from you, is take the little you have left. I am placing this complaint after having months and months of harrasing phone calls and insulting emails from them.</p>
