******ION ON BREAKAGE DEPOSIT, ****S!

we booked in this house for a weekend 1st oct-4th oct 2021, they asked for a breakage deposit of R5000, PLEASE BE AWARE THIS IS NOT A DEPOSIT, this people will ****** your deposit and come up with silly excuses not to pay your deposit. we broke x2 wine glasses, they charged us a good R800 for 2 glasses???this are not exclusive glasses they're just normal wine glasses wat most they would amount to R100,******ION!when we arrived at the house we found umbrellas open with cushions on the pool chairs ,they was a storm in the duration of our stay which resulted to break one of the umbrella, not the entire umbrella theres a log that supports the umbrella, they expected us to pay for the log that supports the umbrella a GOOD R2000??? and pay for dry clean for the cushions for R1380,no where in they're long list of rules did they mention should it rain we should move the cushions and close the umbrellas of which we didnt even know how to operate the very same umbrellas, this damages were due to unforeseen circumstances, had they mentioned that should it rain, may we put the cushions inside they leaking house and close the umbrellas, what I find fascinating is that the 'damages' coincidentally comes close to the breakage deposit of R5000, this people are ****s!!!!i have travelled and booked in a lot of lodges/accommodations, i have never experienced such a *******. i would not recommend nicks lodges to anyone, be aware that they will find ways not to pay your deposit back!we taking this up with tourism office , they dont deserve the stars!
