VISION, MISSION & VALUES are all LIES!!!!
The Housing Consumers Protection Measures Act was introduced to protect housing consumers and it established the National Homebuilders Registration Council (NHBRC), as the regulatory body of the home building industry.
The above is from their site. NHBRC DOES NOT protect the customer at all.
My issues starts more than 2 years back, before moving in our new home i made a long list of issues to the agent who then forwarded to the builder and seller/developer. Very few issues (about 15%) were resolved before moving in. i then took the matter to NHBRC thinking the would force the builder to resolve ALL the issues. I followed NHBRC process filled in the paper work (supp**** the required docs) and provide my report with pictures etc. The builder further repaired maybe 10% issues and the issues i resolved out of my pocket NHBRC advised i must go via court with this (Even though i have the as found pictures) never the less i wanted the rest resolved and as pensioned only another 10% was repaired and poorly at that 4 emails to NHBRC and a phone call all i am advised they (NHBRC) will close this case as the builder did what he had to do and i accepted. He has no email correspondence of me accepting the poor workmanship only a list of emails requesting assistance to get the builder to resolve the matters. so currently i am unable to go there (to NHBRC office) but soon as i have an opportunity i will go to their offices to complain to the manager but i must say this organization is not out to punish poor workmanship or protect the consumer . so if you get a builder dont feel safe if the builder is registered because this organization WILL NOT HELP YOU if the builder does a poor work.
Their VISION, MISSION & VALUES are all LIES!!!!
