Taking money with no service.

I believe this organisation is purely a money spinning entity with no recourse for the money that is paid to them. Being a first time home builder you would think that you would be guided correctly but instead the NHBRC is only interested in what they can take rather than how t hey actually assist their "clients" who register with them. i built my house 4 years ago and paid the enrolement as per their prescribed quote. 4 years later i am told my file was lost and they cannot give me the enrolment. I would think looking after your client means actually keeping in contact with the home owner or the builder. After 2 month of back and forth searching i am told to do it again which i did in record time with extra costs involved. I have already sold my house and it cannot continue in the deeds office so i had to move out and let the new owners move in. i am then told ( for the first time in 3 months) i need to pay 193 000 for 5 years or i cannot get the certificate which means i cannot sell my house as the bank needs the registration. I cannot understand why the bank would want a certificate from a more disorganized and money hungry body in any event. I am not told i must go through time consuming appeal process which costs even more money and they could not be bothered or willing to find an amicable solution since they caused this issue. I asked for a refund and that seems to be a problem as well. Please use any other registration council besides NHBRC as they are causing me terrible stress and anguish. We are the clients and not them. Why didnt they inform or guide me correctly? They could of mentioned the 193k before i spent 40k doing the application again but instead they profited even more.
