NHBRC allowing ************ business..

The NHBRC is failing on its very own mandate, i.e. " to assist and protect housing consumers from any ************ home builders who deliver substandard houses, bad workmanship and poor quality material" established in 1998 and I'm afraid what you have done is to allow and provide breeding ground for the same ************ you set out to protect against.

I live in a development headed bu Cosmopolitan Projects. we have recently leaned that not all houses were inspected as per our enrollment certificates but instead, inspection is done randomly. It only makes sense to do it that way considering the pace at which these houses just mushroom out, but this no excuse to cut corners. this means now that there is real chance that there are houses that have been completed with defects.

The Housing Consumer Protection Measures Act says that you will provide access to information about the builder such as the number of homes enrolled by such home builders, the number of complaints, considered valid by the Council and requiring on-site conciliation, received from housing consumers, and any other information deemed appropriate by the Council to assist housing consumers to assess the track record of a home builder, but this is not the case. the only information with regards to builder info on your website is the registration number, is that enough for me as a consumer to make an informed decision?

It is clear that your processes are not adequate to achieve your mandate! at the end of all this are the housing consumers who are left wanting when they can see that they houses are of low quality, but there isn't much that we can do because the builder has followed procedures only for the NHBRC to fail us..
