Next Direct , Understanding the Process
I love buying from Next Direct. The quality of the their clothes are awesome and they have very awesome designs. The designer clothes brands for kids is really expensive in South Africa. It's only recently that Pick 'n Pay started copying or buying the same design templates as Next for their kids clothes but definitely not the same quality. The trick is to buy for over R400 (no delivery charge) but under R500 (R499) to not pay excessive custom fees instituted by our own SARS. It acts as a penalty for not buying local. You will however still pay 20% custom fees plus admin fee (Skynet - R69.00) for facilitating your purchase. So, If you bought for R488.00 , you will get a Waybill invoice from Skynet for R97.00 custom fees and R69.00 admin fee that will in total bring your purchase to R654.00. Also, please note that somehow the UK sizes are bigger that the SA size equivalent for babies. Their 6-9months is a South African 6-12months. My toddler son is is 2 years, 2 2months and he is still wearing some of his 12-18month clothes that fit him very well.
