NEXT Direct

Enjoying the convenience of online shopping I ordered a few items (clothing) on [URL Removed] - I checked out and my total was ca ZAR1,650.00 and I paid with my Visa card. The front page advertised free delivery for orders above ZAR250.00. Ca 1 week later I got a call from Skynet telling me I owed them tax / customs and that I had to pay immidiately otherwise the goods would be sent to a government warehouse. I knew nothing about this as NOWHERE on the website did I see anything about additional customs to be payable. NOWHERE. This is misleading and incredibly poor of a company like NEXT. In fact, I am quite sure there must be a breach with the Consumers Act.<br> The customs added are ca ZAR 1,300.00 and the person who called me was incredibly rude. As I checked my email account it turned out that the email from Skynet had ended up in Junk mail.<br> This is a VERY disappointing experience. I will never shop at NEXT again and I will use every opportunity to warn my friends and family against this poor and ********* way of doing business. NEXT: why do you want to damage your brand's reputation like this????
