Julien Jansen, the News24 and the mindless acts of DEFAMATION.

I had an unfortunate experience with the Rekord and an elderly man named Herman Pypers who wrote to news24 thanking the police for his two sons speedy arrests.

My life as I knew it was callously ripped out from underneath me and I am only now prepared to take these poor excuses for human beings on.

A defamatory statement is a false statement of fact that exposes a person to hatred, ridicule, or contempt, causes him to be shunned, or injures him in his business or trade. ... In most jurisdictions, as a matter of law, a dead person has no legally-protected reputation and cannot be defamed.

On the 22nd of October I received a phone call from my Mother asking me why I was associated with all these horrible things in the news paper? Surely it can't be true? Who is Herman and why does he think it's okay to do this?

Forget about the fact, that EVERYTHING could have been avoided had the Police in strand not ignored my rights, given me the opportunity to make a phone call, then the situation I found myself in would have been much less painful.

From my side, my future, last year this time, was indefinitely *****ed. I still have not quite gotten over the ordeal. I'm grateful I can write this complaint with as little emotion as what Herman and Julian wrote. In fact, I am years wiser and light years further away from the 'drug induced ********' they portrayed me as in their rotten excuse of an article.

Had it been an accurate and factual article it may have deserved the picture of me which was printed with it.

The entire story as to how I ended up being arrested is for all purposes irrelevant. My story with news 24 was to happen not long after my encounter with the SAPS. Herman Pypers wrote a letter to the Rekord (which if I'm not mistaken is a nationwide print?) they very prudishly published the article on the 22nd of October in 2017.

I was not contacted, I was not questioned. My name, age, place of residence and false statements concerning me were made.

This specific publication is an absurd piece written to thank the Police for the quick arrests made, an article which had no truth in it from the first word.

The information given was false. Slandering me, an attack on my character. Exposing me and denying me of any chance at redeeming what was left of my life. Since that day my home, belongings and sense of security was ruthlessly and stupidly handed over to the POWER OF THE MEDIA .

In the article, the most damaging information was COMPLETELY FALSE! I was associated with Drug related crimes, which I am not involved with.

The fact that these accusations were printed in the Sunday news meant that I can no longer find employment in my home town due to the damaging article printed, with my picture!

This means that rebuilding a life, regardless of where in my life I am, is only that much more difficult.

The fact that I was left homeless and jobless, dropped off at 4:30 in the rain with only my clothes which I can carry meant nothing to Julian Jansen.

Never mind that my situation and the horrible experience was only emphasized, not at all what I imagined my first article would be. The negligence and poor research resulted in the Defamation of my Character being the least of my problems.

I rep**** to Network24 and asked that I receive an apology and I received nothing. No further communication whatsoever from their side. I assumed that they would have at least sent me an Email.

The Author of the letter, Herman Pypers, is currently completing a sentence not just for ***** but also for the theft of, his close friend and business associates', Bakkie.

I have come to the conclusion that, since the author, the journalist and the newspapers have not made any attempts to remedy this I felt it only fair to follow normal, less private manners of getting myself heard.

I am truly disgusted, not just in Herman, I am also appalled by the poor way in which News24 proved their level of professionalism. Had the 'quick to believe an old man's story' been a better journalist, had Herman been a better man and the policemen in Strand been less ******** and had more respect for basic human rights, I wouldn't be writing this complaint!

Hopefully I will be able to improve the manner which the Media Industry has so carelessly caused me so much grief and the manner which the the South African Police Officers conduct themselves and the Honey-bee Farmers whose lies got the best of them in the end.
